We are thrilled to share that our Founder and CEO, Adam Russek-Sobol, was recently featured on FOX 32’s “ChicagoNOW” to discuss how Education Walkthrough is tackling one of the biggest challenges in education today: teacher burnout.
In a dynamic conversation with host Gabriella Premus and Tia Ewing, Adam detailed the inspiration behind our platform and our mission to streamline administrative tasks, save valuable time, and empower school leaders to focus on what truly matters—supporting their teachers.

The Challenge: An Unmanageable Workload
It’s no secret that administrators are overworked. As Adam pointed out in the interview, many educators work 55-60 hours per week, with a significant portion of that time spent on administrative duties outside the classroom. This immense burden is a primary driver of burnout and is causing talented educators to leave the profession at an alarming rate.
Having met with many principals who conducted over a thousand classroom observations a year, Adam experienced this challenge firsthand. He knew there had to be a better way to handle the paperwork and processes that were taking school leaders away from their most important role: instructional coaching.
The Solution: A Smarter Way to Support Teachers
Education Walkthrough was born from that experience. Our app is designed to transform the entire observation and feedback cycle for school leaders. By digitizing what was once a cumbersome, paper-based process, our platform helps administrators:
- Save Time: School leaders using our app save an average of 5 to 10 hours per week.
- Provide Better Feedback: The app allows for real-time, actionable feedback that teachers can use immediately to enhance their instruction.
- Leverage Data: Aggregate data from observations to identify school-wide trends, pinpoint areas for professional development, and provide targeted support to teachers.
- Utilize AI: Our integrated AI tools help summarize observation notes and identify key themes, making the feedback process even more efficient and impactful.
As Adam so powerfully stated during the interview:
“We want to give principals and school leaders their time back so they can invest that time in their most important asset, which is their teachers.”
Our Commitment to Education
By giving instructional leaders their time back, we empower them to invest in coaching, mentoring, and developing their staff. This leads to stronger teachers, reduced turnover, and ultimately, better outcomes for students.
We are incredibly proud to have our mission highlighted on a platform like ChicagoNOW and to share our story with the wider Chicago community and beyond. The response has been amazing, and it reinforces our commitment to supporting educators across the country.
