When to use it
Walkthroughs in the new FEAP language
The FEAPs were rewritten in Rule 6A-5.065, effective August 25, 2026. Every practice on this form uses the 2026 wording.
Alongside your district's observation model
District observation rubrics must include the FEAP indicators. This form marks practices Observed, Partially observed, or Not yet observed, so it never competes with your district's rating scale.
Feedback the same day
Practice 5.4 calls for timely, specific, and actionable feedback. Send your walkthrough notes to the teacher right after the visit.
Why only Standards 4 and 5
The 2026 FEAPs have six Standards. Standards 1, 2, 3, and 6 cover professional responsibilities and ethics, professional learning and content knowledge, preparation and planning, and data and assessment. They live mostly in planning, data work, and professional practice, so you can't see much of them in a short visit.
Practice 4.4, adapting the learning environment with appropriate support, is left out because it is only partly visible in a visit. Once the form is in your account, you can edit it, add practices, or change the wording to fit your building.
